TV More Difficult Than Making Films

Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Basu, who began his direction career with 1996 hit daily soap “Tara”, said movies should not be considered better to TV and adds that film making is easy. Anurag Basu also directed television shows “Star Bestsellers” & “Koshish… Ek Aashaa” before production his big screen starts with 2003 film “Saaya” starring John Abraham & Tara Sharma.

Anurag Basu recently told to reporter; I don’t think that movies are superior to TV. I don’t know why community says this? I do movies, but trust me; TV is much harder than making movies. Filmmaker said; I belong to television. I was born here as a director.

From time to time I get envious that there were no award functions like this in our moment. We did much hard work for television but never got any award. Anurag Basu last release was Ranbir Kapoor & Priyanka Chopra film “Barfi!”, which was a hit film and both actors played outstanding their roles and as well India’s official entry to the Oscars in 2012.

This film got lots of awards. Right now, Anurag Basu is busy in co-judging the kid’s talent show, “India’s Best Dramebaaz” on Zee TV channel along with bollywood famous actress Sonali Bendre & actor Vivek Oberoi. It is very popular and interesting show and people really like it.
